EGHAM Hythe and Thorpe county councillor, Yvonna Lay successfully retained her seat at last night's (June)(4) county council elections.
The Conservative councillor retained her seat comprehensively winning 1797 votes, her nearest rival, UKIP's Steve Gynn with 924.

Firefighters extinguished a blaze in a car engine on the clockwise M25 between junction 12 at Thorpe and 13 at Staines on Thursday (22) at about 2.45pm.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
A driver was injured when her vehicle was in collision with another car on Thursday (15) on the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 between junction 13 at Staines and 12 at Thorpe, at about 6.35pm
The woman driver of of an orange Peugeot 206 sustained minor injuries after the crash with blue Mercedes C240 and was taken to St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, for treatment. The other motorist was unhurt.
The carriageway was shut until 7.30pm while the vehicles were removed causing congestion in the area.
A car was written off after a smash with a lorry at junction 13 of the M25 at 6.40pm on Monday December 15.
Firefighters cleared the scene at the Thorpe junction and neither driver required hospital treatment.
Monks Walk footpath, which runs between Thorpe village and Staines Road, re-opened on Monday, November 10, after being closed by Surrey County Council for one month.
