EGHAM Hythe and Thorpe county councillor, Yvonna Lay successfully retained her seat at last night's (June)(4) county council elections.
The Conservative councillor retained her seat comprehensively winning 1797 votes, her nearest rival, UKIP's Steve Gynn with 924.
Firefighters attended a crash on Sunday (15) on the clockwise M25 near junction 12 at Thorpe at about 9.45pm.
Neither driver of the two cars involved in the minor shunt was hurt. There was a slight delay to traffic while the scene was cleared.

Land in Runnymede that could provide new housing over the next 20 years is to be recorded in a new register.
Runnymede Council is calling on landowners, developers and other public bodies to come forward with sites that could accommodate 10 or more homes in order to assess what land in the borough could be developed for housing.
More than £12,000 of public and private money has been spent repairing a 170-year-old wall around a disused animal pound in Thorpe.
The Association for the Improvement of Runnymede (AIR) secured £8,750 of National Lottery funding and further contributions came from aggregate company, CEMEX, Runnymede Council, Thorpe Park and TASIS American School, making a total of £12,500.
TASIS school have applied from permission to use White Cottage, in Coldharbour Lane, as accommodation for five students and two teachers.
The plans were due to be considered at next Wednesday's (27) planning committee meeting, but have now been deferred while the school consults further with village residents. Officers have recommended the plan be granted.
TASIS school have applied for planning permission to use land between Ten Acre Lane and Village Road as a playing field.
The school have been using the land, with temporary permission, since 2001, and have now applied for permission to use the land permanently.
