Frustration over parking 'nightmare'
A man whose daughter was clamped in his own private parking space is still waiting to get his money back nearly three months on.
William Dyer, of Rosslyn Close, Sunbury, was stunned when wardens from Slough-based Parking Control Management immobilised daughter Sharon's car and ordered her to pay £120 to get it released. Not having the money herself, he paid instead.
The firm, which is meant to be employed on the private estate to prevent rogue parkers using communal areas, claimed it clamped the vehicle because his daughter was not displaying a sticker. However, Mr Dyer, who doesn't own a car himself, says it is ludicrous because it was his own space.
Furious, he set about claiming his money back but, three months on, he's still yet to receive a response and is thinking of taking legal action.
He said: "It's a nightmare and I don't know what I'm going to do. It's amazing they can do this and get away with it. If it goes on for much longer, I'm going to have to think about getting solicitors involved because it's becoming a bit of a joke."
