Search for space for new homes in Runnymede
Land in Runnymede that could provide new housing over the next 20 years is to be recorded in a new register.
Runnymede Council is calling on landowners, developers and other public bodies to come forward with sites that could accommodate 10 or more homes in order to assess what land in the borough could be developed for housing.
By January 9 2009, planning officers at the council aim to have talked with those people with a view to registering possible sites for development.
National targets require the authority to build 3,200 new homes in the borough over the next 20 years and details of the plan are available at www.runnymede.gov.uk. Alternatively call Andrew Hunter or Bob Etheridge on 01932 838383.
