Thorpe Players present Not Just an Olde Tyme Music Hall
The summer is nearly over (if we ever have one!), the holidays will soon have been and gone, the nights are drawing in. What we all need is to be cheered up. With this in mind, Thorpe Players are presenting an evening of music, melodrama, monologues and melodies, chaired by Chertsey Town Crier, Terry Pattinson. Entitled "Not Just an Olde Tyme Music Hall", it will include tunes and sketches from the whole of the last century, not merely music hall songs. It will also feature a melodrama written specially for the group by its founder, the inimitable Frank Muir.
As usual, we are using Thorpe Village Hall, which is ideal for this type of show. Performances are at 8pm on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September and tickets are just £7, from the Box Office on 07923 583295. The audience is welcome to dress up and sing along if they wish, or just sit back and enjoy the show.
